What are domain names?
A domain, such as kudosinternet.net, is your website's internet address. Domain names make
your website easily accessible to internet users. Users can simply enter the domain name into
their browser to view your website.
Domains have many different TLDs (Top level domains)
such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .co.uk and .org.uk. You may choose any valid TLD for your
domain (depending on availability).

What are the benefits of having a domain name?
Without a domain name, your customers would likely never find your website.
Your domain name is also used in ranking calculations on search engines such
as Google and Overture (the two market leaders). Without a domain name, you have
very little chance of ever being found through a search engine.
When you own your own domain name, you can have email addresses such as
yourname@yourdomain.com.

How can I check if a domain name is available to register?
You can check if a domain is available to register using the box near the
top right of this page, or by clicking on the link below. Simply enter the
domain name your would like to register, choose the TLD you wish, for example,
.co.uk. You can check all major TLDs for a domain at once by choosing All.

My domain name is available - how do I register it?
Once you have found a domain name that is available, simply check the boxes next
to the domains you wish to register. Once you have pressed the Register button,
you will be asked to enter some information this is standard for all domain
registrations. On completion the request will be sent to Kudos Internet staff and
processed within 24 hours.

What if a domain name is already taken by another company/individual?
If another company or individual has already registered your domain, you should look
for an alternative domain. The only way you will be able to obtain a domain registered
by somebody else is if you buy it from them or if the domain is a trademark you own in
the relevant country.

How much does it cost to register a domain name?
Below are the prices for the most popular TLDs. For other TLDs such as .de
for Germany and .es for spain, please contact domains@kudosinternet.net.

Who does the domain name belong to when I register it?
The domain name belongs to you once it has been registered.
Beware of internet companies registering domains in their own
name!

What happens if I want to move the domain name away from Kudos Internet?
Unlike some other Internet Service Providers, we do not charge to
change the nameserver records or IPS tags of
domain names. This means you can move your domain away from us at any time, free
of charge.
